Frances Fragos Townsend is a reputable name in the contemporary business world. She is Activision Blizzard’s executive vice president of corporate affairs, chief compliance officer, and corporate secretary. She has also previously served as the vice-chairman, general counsel, and chief administrative officer at MacAndrews & Forbes, Inc. Her ten-year working period at the company; she exclusively focused on internal financial, personnel, and legal issues combined with compliance, international and business development across MacAndrews’ portfolio companies.
Before joining MacAndrews, Frances was a corporate partner with Baker Botts, LLP. LAW firm. Between 2004 and 2008, she served as President George W. Bush’s assistant under the homeland security and counterterrorism besides chairing the Homeland Security Council simultaneously. Townsend also worked as the deputy national security advisor for curbing terrorism for a year (May 2003 and May 2004). She also spent thirteen working years at the U.S. Department of Justice under three presidents, namely George H.W., President George W. Bush, and President Bill Clinton.
